Sally M. Veillette founded Get The Glow in 2003 to promote her passion—helping people discover the power that they already have… so life can be richer, easier, more rewarding, and much more fun.
Get the Glow promotes Sally’s workshops, speaking, and consulting services… as well as gives a location to buy her books, CDs, and other products. Sally’s own Pop the Cork Publishing currently publishes her books, with Hara Publishing Group serving as distributor.
Sally’s “help-yourself-to-yourself” philosophy has both soft and hard edges. In one sense it celebrates the person, joyfully debunking the decades-old “self-help” philosophy that implies 1) there’s something broken that needs to be fixed, and 2) to fix “it,” though others are available to assist, at the end of the day, one needs to do it for him- or herself. Sally thinks that’s just plain wrong. “People are magnificent,” she says, “especially because of their flaws. Could you imagine Leonardo da Vinci having used a ruler to draw a line instead of the beauty of his own imperfectly perfect stroke? Absurd!”
Sally believes that it’s time to stop focusing on what’s wrong with us, and start moving—wholeheartedly and decisively—with what’s right about us, instead. Sally demands this, in fact, claiming that being your most honest, truest self isn’t your right, but your responsibility. The carrot that she uses is a good one, however—a life that’s uniquely your own, and vibrantly alive.
How? That’s the easy part. “Right under your very noses are the people and passions that can motivate you to find your way out of any rut you find yourselves in,” says Sally. “All I do is show you where to look. Simple.”
